Dusty identifies, invests in, and supports the growth of healthcare IT and services companies, with a focus on efforts enabling providers and consumers to participate in the evolving retail-centric and shared-risk healthcare environment.
Dusty serves as a director on the boards of lifeIMAGE, which facilitates medical image exchange; FastMed, a leading urgent care provider with clinics in Arizona, Texas, and North Carolina; and Phreesia, which provides a modern, tailored intake experience designed to gather the right information, engage patients in their care, and expand practice capacity. He is also a board observer for PokitDok, MDsave and Abacus ‒ all Echo Health Ventures portfolio companies. Dusty served on the Cambia Health Solutions strategic investing team for three years before joining Echo Health Ventures. Prior to this, he spent the majority of his career in financial services, with a focus on healthcare mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, he worked at Harris Williams & Co., an investment bank, where he executed a range of healthcare IT and services transactions on behalf of both corporate and private equity clients.
Dusty earned a degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and currently serves in the Penn Alumni Interview Program where he acts as a Portland-area ambassador, helping the admissions office select the next incoming freshmen class. He also serves on the board of Northwest Outward Bound School, which operates wilderness educational courses that change lives through challenge and discovery.
Dusty lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, daughter, and dog. As a family, they enjoy running, fly fishing, and taking advantage of the myriad of other recreational opportunities that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
