Global Corporate Venturing this week honored two Echo Health Ventures leaders: Dusty Lieb, Managing Partner and Head of Investments; and Jose Guerola, Principal on the Strategic Investment team.

Lieb was recognized as one of the 2024 Emerging Leaders, 50 executives “shaping the future of corporate venture capital (CVC) and “in the top 0.5% of the profession.”

Guerola was honored as one of the 2024 Rising Stars, 50 leaders representing “the top 2% of corporate venture capital” and “definitely ones to watch in the coming years.”

In his GCV award profile, Lieb said he enjoyed connecting the innovation economy with the large incumbents in health care. “I find the most exciting successes that we have are when we can help drive acceleration of business models and acceleration of commercialisation in the portfolio companies that we invest in through creating that connective layer.”

Guerola told GCV in his award profile that it’s critical to work with other investors across the health care industry. “We have focused on doing a few things exceptionally well and believe that partnering with investors that bring expertise across payers, pharma, providers, and employers is a competitive advantage.”
