DispatchHealth and Medically Home merger closes, creating a national platform for complex care at home

Dispatch Health

June 4, 2025 – DispatchHealth today announced the close of its merger with Medically Home, bringing together two industry leaders to form one of the nation’s most comprehensive and established health care platforms focused on delivering complex care at home. The combined company delivers care with precision and physical presence—helping people avoid unnecessary ER and hospital visits while giving customers a simpler, more adaptable and cost-effective way to expand access and improve outcomes.

Operating under the DispatchHealth brand, the organization now offers a full continuum of complex care—from same-day visits to extended recovery and inpatient, hospital-level care—all designed to meet people where they are and help them heal safely.

“The home is a powerful place for healing,” said Jennifer Webster, CEO for DispatchHealth. “Together with Medically Home, we’re making it easier for health systems, payers and other customers to offer complex care outside traditional settings, while delivering a more human and connected experience for the people they serve.”

A System That Grows with You

The newly combined DispatchHealth provides three core service lines:

  • ER-Alternative Care: Emergency-level care for serious—but not life-threatening—issues, helping people avoid unnecessary ER visits when it’s safe to do so.
  • Hospital-Alternative Care: Inpatient hospital-level care delivered in the home, allowing people to continue their hospital stay at home or avoid admission altogether. DispatchHealth can provide this care directly, enable it through technology or partner with customers to do both.
  • Transitional Care: Recovery support for people at high risk of readmission following a hospital stay, ER visit, or skilled nursing stay—helping them stay on track, avoid setbacks, and break the cycle of repeated hospital use.

With this merger, DispatchHealth expands its operational footprint to more than 20 states and supports more than 50 enterprise customers. It supports these service lines with advanced capabilities like its Mobile Imaging and moderately complex, CLIA-certified mobile laboratory. Over time, the company will integrate Medically Home’s proven technology platform and clinical command center model into its nationwide system.

“This merger brings to life a shared vision in ways neither organization could have achieved alone,” said Pippa Shulman, D.O., M.P.H., chief medical officer for DispatchHealth. “It’s about delivering evidence-based care with compassion, creating better experiences for patients and caregivers, and giving our clinical teams the tools they need to do their best work.”

Unified Leadership, Shared Mission

The combined leadership team draws from both organizations and reflects deep clinical, operational, and technology expertise. Webster will continue as CEO for DispatchHealth. Graham Barnes, who led Medically Home through a pivotal period and helped bring the two organizations together, is departing to pursue new opportunities. Dr. Shulman has assumed the role of chief medical officer.

Other senior leaders from both companies are taking on key roles across growth, transformation and operations to ensure a thoughtful, aligned integration:

· Bill Kramer, chief legal officer

· David Wilkinson, chief financial officer

· Diana Verrilli, chief growth officer

· Erin Bartley, chief transformation officer

· Jessica Landin, chief operations officer

· J.T. Hedges, chief people officer

The unified team remains focused on building a care model that works better for everyone—people receiving care, clinical teams delivering it, and customers working to improve outcomes while easing the strain on traditional care settings. And they’re doing that in service of the company’s mission: Helping people heal and be treated with dignity—at home.

Transaction Terms and Integration Details

The transaction closed in late May 2025. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

To support integration and long-term growth, DispatchHealth secured additional investment from existing investors from both companies. The fundraise reflects continued confidence and excitement in the company’s model and future.

The Medically Home brand will be phased out as the two organizations integrate under the DispatchHealth name. No changes are planned to existing customer agreements or services as part of the merger.
