Each year, around 3.6 million patients across the United States miss at least one medical appointment due to lack of transportation access.

Circulation, an Echo Health Ventures portfolio company, is a new way to book non-emergency medical transportation services with the benefit of HIPAA compliance. It can be seamlessly integrated with health care systems, as well as with both established and on-demand vendors.

Robin Heffernan, CEO of Circulation, shared how Circulation is addressing social determinants of health to create a better overall experience for patients and clinicians alike. “From a population health standpoint, how do you address the biggest issues for people, so that you can really move the needle?” said Robin.

She also shared how Echo has been a partner in their success. “They’ve gone above and beyond most venture firms,” said Robin. “We have a fully dedicated team to help with business development and to help you think about product strategy. And that’s pretty unique in the marketplace.”
