Maura Little

Maura is a Managing Principal, Echo Health Advisors at Echo Health Ventures. She is responsible for engagement between Echo Health Ventures, its portfolio, and our Alliance stakeholders.

Prior to joining Echo, Maura served in multiple roles focused on health innovation at the federal, state and local levels. Maura spent the early parts of her career supporting the work of health care transformation as a key Congressional staff member during the formation of the Affordable Care Act. She was then appointed by Governor Inslee as Washington State’s first Director of Life Science and Global Health. In that role, she led the creation and deployment of Washington’s first economic strategy to accelerate the growth of the health innovation ecosystem, working with stakeholders to take the state’s employment from a 3% growth rate to well over 22% in five years.

Maura joined Echo from the Cambia Grove, a health care innovation hub based in Seattle, Washington where she served as Executive Director. During her tenure with Cambia Grove, she and her team created programs to support both entrepreneurs and the traditional health care system as they built solutions to tackle some of health care’s most pressing challenges. From the creation of the 5 Points of Health Care framework and conference to establishing the TRAILS competition, she brought a focus on breaking down barriers to support health care innovation to the Seattle, Portland and Salt Lake City communities where they served.

Maura earned a bachelor’s degree in political science with an emphasis on law, society and justice from the University of Washington. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Andy Hill CARE Fund, a gubernatorial appointed position focused on granting dollars to cancer research and development.

Maura is based out of Echo’s Seattle, Washington office.
